• Introduction of Workshop 1: short theoretical introduction about understanding of grassroot/base/groundwork.

1.1. Workshop 1: Connecting social problems to and through the revolutionary project

→ share specific knowledge, tools, visions, experience

Discussion divided in fields/subgroups:

→ housing, economy, ecology, health, security, gender equality, culture/identity.

→ Challenge: reduce to 5 topics. To decide on topics discuss in advance: what are the main fields that bring people to organize in our territories?

Introduction of WS within each field/subgroup:

• → 15min

  → by 1 organisation, introducing the field of grassroot work and giving examples from their own practice of revolutionary grassroot work. Key question: how does your organisation support an individual that arrives only to solve their own problem through a process of politisation and organisation?

  → should not only be organisations connected to the Kurdish freedom movement that present

Discussion & conclusions:

→ moderation plan and skills are important here

• → What have you learned from politicising people in this field? What learnings are interesting for other fields of grassroot work?

  → Which methodologies, tools, obstacles did you develop/experience in your concrete ground work?

  → Organizative forms used in this field (neighborhood communes, syndicates, cooperatives…?)
